Sanierung und Umbau einer Gründerzeitwohnung Der Grundriss mit langem Flur und gleichförmigen Zimmern sollte zu Gunsten von mehr Offenheit aufgelöst werden. Das Potential der großen, hohen Räume wird durch die Entfernung störender Trennwände und die Überhöhung sämtlicher Durchgänge herausgearbeitet und die einzelnen Räume verschmelzen. Durch das Hinzugeben zweier Einbauelemente werden die fließenden Räume nutzungsspezifisch definiert. Der „Kubus“ erweitert den Wohnraum in den Flur. Die vierseitige Nutzung verstärkt die Wirkung, ein freistehendes Möbel statt tragender Trennwand zu sein. Das „Regal“ grenzt Wohn- und Essraum voneinander ab erlaubt mit Durchblicken aber gleichzeitig, die Großzügigkeit der Räumlichkeiten wahrzunehmen.
